The QR Code Generator is a free, versatile tool aimed at small businesses for creating customized QR codes for marketing and event management. It features an intuitive interface for easy code generation and personalization, including logo integration and color adjustments. Following its acquisition by Uniqode, The QR Code Generator continues to operate with its own branding and independence. As a product designer for TQRCG, I was responsible for the projects, including the development of its analytics dashboard, the introduction of new features, and the enhancement of its website branding.
Analytics Dashboard Design
TQRCG aimed to enhance its basic analytics capabilities to potentially increase user conversions. The redesign had to integrate seamlessly with the Uniqode product backend and incorporate strategic nudges aimed at promoting upgrades from the free to paid plans.

As a Senior Visual Designer, I undertook a comprehensive rebranding effort that included creating a new color palette, establishing a cohesive visual style, designing updated iconography, and refining website layouts. The QR Code Generator (TQRCG) required an enhancement to support GPS functionality to better serve businesses that use location-based services. The absence of GPS support limited the product’s applicability for users needing to create QR codes with geolocation features for events, promotions, or product tracking.
To address this need, I designed a GPS support feature that integrates seamlessly with TQRCG. This new functionality allows users to generate QR codes that encode precise geographic coordinates, enabling end-users to access location-specific information or promotions directly from their mobile devices. This addition enhances the product's versatility, making it more valuable for businesses utilizing location-based strategies.

The QR Code Generator (TQRCG) needed an account deletion feature due to frequent user complaints about the cumbersome process of requesting deletions through customer support, which was not user-friendly or efficient.
I designed a self-service account deletion feature that allows users to easily and securely delete their accounts directly through the interface. This new functionality addresses user complaints by providing a straightforward, intuitive process with clear instructions and confirmation steps, thereby enhancing user satisfaction and compliance with privacy regulations.

Since users could only generate generic URLs, which lacked personalization and were less effective for tracking. The QR Code Generator (TQRCG) needed a custom slug/short URL feature to boost brand visibility, enhance user engagement, and drive conversions.
I designed the custom slug/short URL feature to allow users to create branded, memorable URLs with customizable slugs. This feature not only improves brand recognition and tracking but also serves as a premium offering, available exclusively on the advanced and professional plans, thereby encouraging upgrades and increasing conversions.

The QR Code Generator (TQRCG) required a multi-language support feature to cater to a global audience by ensuring that users can view QR code content in their device’s default language. Previously, QR codes provided content in a single language, which limited accessibility and user experience for non-English speakers.
I designed the multi-language support feature to automatically detect and display QR code content in the user’s default device language. This enhancement improves accessibility and user experience by providing localized content, making the QR Code Generator more inclusive and effective for a diverse, international user base.
